The Jigawa state Governor His Excellency Malam Umar Namadi has launched a monthly sanitation exercise at the state Capital Dutse on Saturday 27th January 2024, to promote environmental hygiene and healthy living for the people of the state.
The exercise initiated by the Jigawa Ministry of Environment in collaboration with the Agroclimate Resilience in semi arid landscape (ACReSAL) project is aimed at incorporating environmental protection etiquettes to the people of the s greener and cleaner for healthy living.
Prominent figures in attendance during the launching exercise were the Speaker of the House of Assembly Jigawa State, Secretary of the State, Head of the Civil Service, Chief of Staff to the Government House, all Honourable Commissioner’s jigawa state Government.
Dr Nura also acknowledged the commitments of the ACReSAL Project Coordinator Malam Yahaya Uba for putting much effort in ensuring that the exercise is brought to the limelight. Added that ACReSAL project has played a vital role in making the environment state for a cleaner and healthy environment.
Governor Namadi declared every last Saturday of the month as sanitation day in the state, plead with the public to support the wonderful initiatives by the ministry of environment to move to state forward.
